Description:
John Scott, conductor of the New York Fifth Avenue St. Thomas Male Chorus & Boys Choir, was born in Yorkshire in 1956, studied organ at Kemperidge, and made his debut in 1977 at the Promenade Concert at the Royal Albert Hall. He was active worldwide as an organist, recording all of Buxtehude's organ works, as well as Messiaen, Vierne, and others, and was a choral conductor and accomplished musician. This album, Scott's last recording, includes Britten's "A Celebration of Carols" and other beautiful works Recorded April 15-17, 2015. (C)RS
