Description:

It is said that Chopin developed the "Nocturne" from the form established by John Field, but in fact, there was someone who wrote "Nocturnes" in Poland before Chopin. However, there was actually someone who wrote "nocturnes" in Poland before Chopin. It was Maria Szymanowska (1789-1831), a female composer born in 1789, who was also one of the most famous pianists in Europe at the beginning of the 19th century. Her works were also innovative for their time, and her technical style, known as the "Brillant style," heralded the free thinking of the Romantic period. The works recorded here are all short and concise, but one can only marvel at the dreamlike ideas that unfold in each piece. Naxos Japan
