Unsung Treasures: Mozart—A Collection of Piano Works Young pianist Anastasia Injusina, who presented a fluid and refreshing interpretation of Bach in her previous album, *Piano Concertos of the Bach Family*, returns with her second album: a collection of Mozart’s lesser-known piano works. With the exception of the final piece, “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star,” the works included here are rarely heard in concert. The Allegro from K. 312 is believed, based on current scholarship, to be a late work. However, since its date of composition is unclear, its origin remains a mystery. The Suite in K. 399 and the Prelude and Fugue in K. 394 are believed to have been influenced by Handel’s suites. These works are often performed on the organ. K. 400 is a piece that was abandoned midway through the 91st measure. It may have been intended to be a piano sonata. The version performed here is the one completed by Stadler, though other completed versions by different composers also exist. This piece is notable for its light and airy phrasing.
