After Richter's death in 1981, the Munich Bach Choir was renamed the Munich Bach Orchestra, which has been active since 1984. After Richter's death in 1981, Hans-Martin Schneidt served as artistic director from 1984 until 2001, when Hans-Jörg Albrecht took over. This recording focuses on Bach's most popular cantata, No. 147 (the chorale is "O Lord, Joy of Man's Desiring") and the glorious "Magnificat".
