The long-awaited 12th installment in the Brass Band Library Series. Emi Maeda’s “Prologue to a Vivid World,” selected as the required piece for the 10th Brass Band Championship, depicts the gradual approach of a new world and is a piece that leaves the listener feeling optimistic and refreshed. The title track, Yuichi Abe’s “Festival of Opet,” is a piece inspired by the ancient Egyptian festival of the same name. It is a composition brimming with grandeur. In addition, the album features a total of 11 original brass band compositions by popular composers such as Yosuke Fukuda and Yutaro Ishihara, including Hayato Hirose’s “Land of Hope,” which was composed to evoke the image of people who emigrated from Europe to America from the 19th century through the early 20th century. Performed by the Nagoya College of Music Brass Band (Meion British Brass), this collection is a gem brimming with the charm of brass band music.
