Description:
Jazz bassist Ikuo Sakurai led a quintet in the 70's. He played with Motohiko Hino, Yoshio Otomo(as) Group and George Otsuka(ds) Group, and joined Fumio Karashima(pf) Trio in 1982, and later joined SAIFA(Masahiko Sato) Octet with Shingo Okudaira(ds) on drums. He also joined SAIFA(Masahiko Sato Octet). He has performed with various jazz greats such as Hidehiko Matsumoto, Akira Miyazawa, Sadao Watanabe, Masahiko Togashi, Terumasa Hino, Shozo Nakagawa, Kimiko Ito, Mari Nakamoto, Hidefumi Toki, Sadanori Nakamure, Takeshi Shibuya, Takao Uematsu, Hiroko Kunifu, and has also worked with overseas artists.
