Description:
Pianist H ZETTM, who creates many playful works with outlandish ideas, will release a solo piano album, "Music Floating in the Bliss of Memory," on Wednesday, September 15. Music begins with introspection and belongs to the performer as well as to the listener in the chain. The recording of this album was done at the Yatsugatake Kogen Ongakudo Hall, located on the border of Nagano and Yamanashi prefectures and overlooking the Yatsugatake Mountains, which was rented for about two weeks. H ZETTM itself has performed there many times in the past, not in a small studio, but in a concert hall where concerts are not possible. H ZETTM itself has held many live concerts at this venue in the past, and chose this location not to record in a small studio, but to deliver a live concert-like sound to as many people as possible at the Corona Disaster, where it is not possible to hold concerts. This time, too, a total of 26 pieces on 2 CDs will be recorded. While based on a single piano performance, this work transcends genres and develops a dense and unique worldview. The beautiful soundscape "Opening" unfolds from piano to string ensemble. The harmony with the rhythm developed in "Synchronizing," "Leap," and "Complex," reminiscent of Steve Reich, is an extension of the solo performances H ZETTM has been doing. The beautiful and quiet piano piece "Memory," "Modern," "Moon," and "The Great Outside," which seem to be in the vein of Prokofiev, Ravel, and Debussy, and the narrative of M12 "Fantasia," which is a reworking of H ZETTRIO's "Never Ending," show the variety and diversity of the pieces, from piano pieces to experimental pieces. The diversity of the music is extreme. For the first time in this series, Kyoto-based electronic musician dagshenma, whom H ZETT M has long respected, joins the project with his gritty noise and gritty beats on Disc 1 M1 "Opening" and Disc 2 M6 "12". It can be said that a new masterpiece has been born, one that expresses the texture of the present day in the prolonged corona disaster realistically and with great empathy.
