The second album by the trio of Japan's leading jazz saxophonist Ken Ota, pianist Shinji Akita, and bassist Takayuki Doi. The album features 10 original compositions written by each member. This three-piece unit was formed in the summer of 2017 after a concert at a church with a view of the sea in Hayama. The unit consists of Shinji Akita on piano, Takayuki Doi on wood bass, and Ken Ota on saxophone, and began live performances and tours in 2018, releasing their first CD "Our Tomorrow / k.a.t." in 2021 and their second CD "glare gre blue" in 2024. The unit name "k.a.t." is derived from the fact that when the members' names are written in English, the three letters in common in their names are "k," "a," and "t," and that jazz musicians have long been referred to as "cat" in the United States, the birthplace of jazz.
