The TV anime "BAKUMATSU" is based on the popular Frew romance game series "Love Bakumatsu Kareshi: Toki no Kanata de Hanasaku Koi," which has been downloaded a total of over 5 million times. This is an anime original story in which attractive characters are active from a different angle from that of the original game. Takasugi Shinsaku, a Choshu samurai, and his partner Katsura Kogoro are after a legendary treasure called Jishin-ki, which manipulates time. In pursuit of the Jishungi, Takasugi and his men board a ship belonging to the Shogunate Navy, but what they find is another "BAKUMATSU" ruled by a masked shogun, Mugensai! The story depicts the lives of the samurai, each with their own thoughts, ideals, and unyielding beliefs, as they passionately pursue their own paths, even after the passage of time. The 12 members of the cast passionately play their roles in "Another Bakumatsuki"! Following the original game, the 12 warriors will be voiced by the same cast of actors as in the original game. Yuichi Nakamura plays the role of Shinsaku Takasugi, the hero of the Bakumatsu era, and Takuya Eguchi plays Kogoro Katsura, Takasugi's partner.The Shinsengumi, who stand in the way of Takasugi and his men, are Toshiyuki Someya as Toshizo Hijikata, Takuya Sato as Isamu Kondo, Tsubasa Dainaga as Soji Okita, and Keita Tada as Hajime Saito. The cast also includes Shinichiro Miki as Ryoma Sakamoto, Sadaaki Matsuoka as Izo Okada, Tatsuo Suzuki as Yoshinobu Tokugawa, Taku Yashiro as Jojo Yamazaki, Shunsuke Takeuchi as the Emperor, Yoshiki Nakajima as Seimei, and many more talented actors!
