Ojimasairi's solo project, Kumachan Seal's album is completed! The album is a weightless sound world where her crystal clear voice floats and spins in circles, fully supported by LeMakeup and Takao! Ojimasairi is a vocalist/keyboardist/songwriter who has played in indie bands such as CASIO Turkish Onsen, neco sleep, Emerald Four, etc. She started her solo career in 2013 and made her cassette debut with 《Hoge Tapes》 in 2017. This "Kuma-chan Seal" is her first CD/LP album, all songs written and produced by Ojima, with support from Le Makeup and Takao, a group of songs she has created that have undergone significant development and leaps forward. The album features Ojima's unique DIY sound, embroidered with Le Makeup's vivid and colorful guitar and sound-making, and Takao's ambient pop synths and keyboards, and offers a dynamic layering of lo-fi and exquisite hi-fi sounds. Le Makeup mixed 10 of the 11 tracks, and Takao handled "CHINA 珊都異知".Ojima's clear voice is central to her musical identity, and her pure voice is used in all of the songs except the instrumental "Fire in a Canoe," but only half of the songs have lyrics. Her wordless voice is used as a melodic and textural element throughout the album. Kumachan Seal" could be called bedroom pop filtered through the filter of techno, ambient, and new age revival, but it also includes the house disco "Atsumono" at the end of the album with distorted sounds over a four beat rhythm, a doo-wop track reminiscent of Brenda Ray in the UK, and a pseudo-reggae track with a hint of reggae flavor, "Kang", which is a bit of a doo-wop song. The two tracks, "TINYCELL," a pseudo-reggae song with a doo-wop flavor reminiscent of Brenda Ray, showcase Ojima's worldview, which deviates from his promises.
