Here comes a previously unreleased studio recording by the too beautiful bedroom violinist Edith Pienemann. The two pianists, Barthes and Hokanson, who have played together for many years, give a superb performance. Schumann's Violin Sonata is a delightful performance of the dark German Romanticism as it is. It was as if the nature of Germany at dusk was right in front of us. Schubert is Pienemann's 18th repertoire, and the Rondo is worthy of special mention. This piece is for string ensemble and solo violin, but here he gives a masterful performance with piano accompaniment, a rarity in that no other recordings of the piece exist. The "Fantasy" is a favorite of mine, and I could have heard it on the previously released WDR recording, but the sound quality is definitely superior here. Mozart's lively emotional outpouring. Beethoven's dignity and structure are both marvelous. This is a set that allows you to enjoy Pyneman's formidable abilities. And the recording by SFB=RBB, which is responsible for the music culture of the music city of Berlin, is superb! Here is an honest sound with no sense of self-aggrandizement that boasts of the engineer's individuality.With liner notes in English, Japanese and German Tobu Land System
