Description:

The supreme art of Yasuhiko Shiozawa Dvorak:Symphony No.7 with the Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra Tchaikovsky:Symphony No.4 with Pacific Philharmonic Orchestra Shiozawa, acclaimed as a legend of brass band music, gave a masterful performance with a professional orchestra in his last year of life. The Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra, which welcomed Shiosawa for the first time in 23 years, gave a wonderful performance that resonated with the maestro's passion for music and deep reading of the score. For example, the powerful energy emanating from Dvořák's "No. 7" 4th movement from his leisurely steps, the skillful changes in expression and tempo, and the way the tension gradually gears up toward the climax were not the result of calculation, but something that has sunk into Shiosawa's body over many years. It is something that has sunk into Shiozawa's body over many years. Tchaikovsky's "No. 4" is Shiozawa's 18th symphony, and it was this symphony that he conducted at the regular concert of the Sophia University Orchestra, the last performance of his life. Shiozawa's skillful orchestral singing and the explosive power of the climax are unique to him, and this skill is even more pronounced in the smaller pieces performed in the first half of the concert. In particular, "Dancing of the Datanjin," which was like watching a picture scroll, was a masterful performance that should be called the quintessence of the Shiozawa magic.
