Beethoven: The Complete Works for String Quartet" Vol. 1: The beginning of a new legend by a permanent group full of talented musicians! <The Hibari String Quartet is a permanent string quartet formed by Keiko Urushibara more than 30 years after the Halley String Quartet was formed. The first performance was held at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan in February 2018. The quartet will incorporate performances of Beethoven's complete string quartets into its basic activities, and will make recordings along with biannual performances at Hakju Hall starting in 2019. While a student at the high school attached to Tokyo University of the Arts, she became the first Japanese winner of the 8th Vinavsky International Competition and received six additional prizes. As a member of the Halley String Quartet, she won the first prize in the chamber music division of the Min'on Competition and the Hideo Saito Prize. He continues to be active at the forefront as a soloist and chamber musician. In addition to performing with the Hungarian National Symphony Orchestra, Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, and other orchestras in Japan and abroad, he has appeared in numerous recitals and chamber music performances throughout Japan. He has also released numerous CDs, many of which have been selected for the Japan Arts Festival Excellence Award and the Recording Arts Special Recognition Award.She is currently a guest professor at Kunitachi College of Music and a specially-appointed professor at Toho Gakuen School of Music, where she also devotes herself to teaching younger students. <Asako Urushihara (2nd violin) won the first prize at the Japan International Music Competition as the youngest winner while a student at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, and graduated from the Juilliard School. She made her debut with the NHK Symphony Orchestra in 1988, and her recital debut in New York was critically acclaimed. She has performed with Rudolf Serkin and others at the Marlboro Music Festival, and has appeared at the Salzburg Festival and other festivals. She has also performed with numerous orchestras in Japan and abroad. He has been a duo with Berry Snyder (Pf) for over 20 years, releasing a series of highly acclaimed live CDs of the complete Schumann and Brahms violin sonatas, as well as frequent recital tours with thematic recitals. Violin Concerto Live CD released in 2017 to critical acclaim. He is currently a professor at Tokyo University of the Arts and a specially appointed professor at Osaka College of Music. (1/2)
