She graduated in voice from the Faculty of Music of the Tokyo University of the Arts and completed the master's course in voice at the same university's graduate school. She studied voice with Yoko Oshima, Michiyo Chiba and Yoshiaki Tsuyuzaki, and Renaissance and Baroque performance practice with Tetsuro Hanai. Her repertoire ranges from early to contemporary music, and she has performed in Hungary, France, Austria, Korea and elsewhere. She has sung solo parts in sacred and choral works including Mozart's Coronation Mass and Requiem, Schubert's Mass in G major, Beethoven's Ninth, Faure's Requiem and Poulenc's Stabat Mater, Gloria and Mass in G. She has made a particular study of Japanese art song from the 1950s onwards and pursues an enterprising career that includes premieres of works by young composers. She is a member of the Vocal Ensemble Kafuki, the early-music ensemble Contrapunto and the Vocal Ensemble Cappella, and works as a voice trainer with choirs throughout the Kanto region.
