Their latest live video is set to be released alongside a 2-disc UHQCD set! The popular concert series featuring Koji Tamaki on a musical journey with the "Hometown" Orchestra—rather than a symphony orchestra—celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2025. Recorded during the November 2015 performance at Tokyo Garden Theatre—part of a tour that sold out venues across the country—this release captures the essence of the tour. In contrast to the grandeur of the symphonic concert series that also began in 2015, the charm of this tour lies in its small ensemble weaving a rich, full-bodied sound. The soul poured into each song is brought to the forefront, allowing listeners to vividly experience the essence of Koji Tamaki’s vocals and the power of music itself. The tour title, “blueeggplantfield,” is the English translation of the song “Aoi ‘Nasu’ Hatake” from his third solo album, *On the Chimney of the Carint Factory*, released in 1993. Since the lyrics mention “hometown,” one is tempted to read deeper into this as a return to his roots. Koji Tamaki has dedicated his life to song and, without saying much, continues to question the meaning of life through his music. We are pleased to release this latest concert footage.
