The sisters, both of whom graduated with honors from the Department of Voice at the College of Music, and both of whom continued their studies in practical performing arts at the Nikikai Opera Training Institute, sing famous songs from the Showa era with original arrangements adapted to their voices. The 13 songs include folk songs, songs, and new music sung with a sound rarely heard anywhere else in the world by twin sisters. The arrangements were commissioned from four up-and-coming composers. While keeping the melody line of the original songs, the Yamada sisters' range of sound and worldview are incorporated to breathe new winds into the songs.
