[Yoko Ono Reissue Project, Vol. 5] Analog Reissue on Limited-Edition White Vinyl for the First Time in 44 Years It’s back! The fifth installment of the Yoko Ono Reappraisal Project. Released in 1982, this is her sixth studio album. Newly remastered from the original tapes, this analog reissue on limited-edition white vinyl marks the first release in 44 years. The artwork has been reproduced as faithfully as possible to the original release, and the package includes a new booklet featuring previously unpublished photos, along with a “bonus poster.” For the Japanese edition, a round obi featuring a grapefruit as the eye-catching design has been created. Following her previous album, *Season of Glass*, which depicted the deep sorrow of losing John Lennon, this album conveys the hope and will to move forward—embodying the message “We’ll Go On Anyway”—through a lighthearted sound that incorporates New Wave and dance music. Yoko’s signature experimental spirit remains intact, as evidenced by the use of Sean’s toy laser gun to set the rhythm. The album’s signature track, “Never Say Goodbye,” features John’s voice in the intro, followed by a moving arrangement in which Sean seems to call Yoko back to reality. “My Man” fuses New Wave with a touch of calypso. “Let the Tears Dry” is a song of renewal—symbolizing the album’s theme—with the lyrics “Let’s dry our tears.” “Dream Love,” with its beautiful melody, is regarded by many fans as a hidden gem from Yoko’s 1980s era. On the back cover, John is depicted in a transparent form, as if “watching over” her, while the clock in her heart remains frozen in 1980—this work, which captures her as she begins to move toward the future while still carrying that sense of loss, is both pop and deeply moving.
