A newly expanded edition of her sixth original album, released in 1982. Features the latest remastering from the original tapes plus two bonus tracks. The CD comes in a paper sleeve that reproduces the original packaging design and includes a new booklet featuring previously unpublished photos. Following her previous album, *Season of Glass*, which depicted the deep grief of losing John Lennon, this album conveys a sense of hope and the will to move forward—“life goes on”—through a lighthearted sound that incorporates New Wave and dance music. Yoko’s signature experimental spirit remains intact, as evidenced by the use of Sean’s toy laser gun as a rhythm instrument. The album’s signature track, “Never Say Goodbye,” features John’s voice in the intro, followed by a moving arrangement in which Sean seems to call Yoko back to reality. “My Man” fuses New Wave with a touch of calypso. “Let the Tears Dry” is a song of renewal—symbolizing the album’s theme—with the lyrics “Let’s dry our tears.” “Dream Love,” with its beautiful melody, is regarded by many fans as one of Yoko’s hidden gems from the ’80s. The bonus track “Forgive Me, My Love” is an outtake from this album. On the back cover, John is depicted in a transparent form, as if “watching over” her, while her heart’s clock remains frozen in 1980—this work, which captures her as she begins to move toward the future while carrying that sense of loss, is both pop and deeply moving.
