Rock super musicians gather in memory of the late Leslie! Leslie West, the giant frontman of Mountain, who gained popularity in the early days of American hard rock. He is known as a guitarist/vocalist who greatly influenced many later bands, especially guitarists (Eddie Van Halen, Michael Schenker, Ace Frehley, Randy Rhodes, etc.), and although his peak period was short-lived, he is remembered for his hit singles "Mississippi Queen", "Nantucket Slayride", and "The Ride". Although his peak period was short-lived, he produced such classic songs as "Nantucket Slay Ride" and "Imagined Western Theme," as well as the hit single "Mississippi Queen. Super musicians in the rock world who respected Leslie gathered to commemorate him in this album. The album features a lineup that includes Ingvay Malmsteen, Slash, Zakk Wylde, Marty Friedman, Steve Morse, George Lynch, Mike Portnoy, Joe Lynn Turner, Dee Snider, Ronnie Romero, and many others, who all played not only on the Mountain, but also in the West, the Blues, and the Rock 'n' Roll scene. The album features selected covers from Leslie's heyday, including not only Mountain, but also West, Blues & Laing, and his solo work.Leslie West passed away on December 23, 2020 (age 75).
