The first new album in nine years from "Goat Rodeo," a project in which Yo-Yo Ma, one of the greatest cellists of our time, performs American music with some of the best string players in the U.S. "Goat Rodeo Sessions," released in 2011, was well received for its heartwarming harmonies performed by these virtuoso players and became a chart-topping hit worldwide. The Goat Rodeo Sessions, released in 2011, was a chart-topping hit in many countries around the world. It won a Grammy Award for Best Folk Album at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards. The dream team includes Chris Seeley of the Punch Brothers on mandolin, Stuart Duncan on fiddle and banjo, and Edgar Meyer on bass, with guest appearances by Eefa O'Donovan, a well-known guest on I'm With Her in Japan. Recorded in August 2019.
