The soundtrack to Barbe Schroeder's 1971 film of the same name, and the first album produced by the four-piece band after Syd Barrett left the band. The band's original musical qualities, which evoke visual images, not only match the story perfectly, but also boast such a high level of perfection that they can stand alone as a stand-alone work. The album features songs in a variety of styles, all superbly arranged with experimental sound effects, and includes numbers such as "Green is the Color" and "Cymbaline," which later became an important part of the band's live repertoire. This album shows that the band had a wide range of musical variations at that time. No. 9 on the U.K. charts.
