Olga Schepps, who has been described as "a poet of the piano" who "makes the notes shine like pearls" and "a poet of the piano," made a big splash on her first visit to Japan last year, and her latest recording for RCA Red Seal is a "Satie album" featuring Satie's most famous piano works, celebrating the 150th anniversary of her birth this year. Considered a "musical maverick," Erik Satie was not only a major influence on Debussy, Ravel, and other Impressionist composers, but also a key figure in the direction that music in the 20th century took after him. More than ballet music and songs, Satie's most prolific works were piano pieces, and this album contains his most famous works, including "Gymnopédie No. 1" and "Je t'œuvre," whose melodies are familiar to everyone. The beauty of Olga's piano sound, deep lyricism, and openness fragrantly express the beauty of Satie's music.
