The first album from the US rock band Pop Etcetera, led by Christopher Chu, an up-and-coming and hot creator of music for Japanese artists such as Galileo Galilei, Kaela Kimura, and Yoko Kanno, as well as for anime and commercials, and also for producing, is their first release after moving to Sony Music. The new album is the first album by Pop Etcetera, a US rock band led by Christopher Chu. They describe their new album as "NEW NEW WAVE" (meaning an evolution of NEW WAVE). The sound is "modern," "pop," and "a bit melancholy," based on the 80's sound, and is a sound that is well received by the Japanese. Many of the songs on the new album were written and inspired by the collaboration with Japanese artists during their long stay in Japan.
