Over the course of three years beginning in the fall of 2007, she presented an ambitious recital series featuring three different programs and three different pianists to commemorate the 20th anniversary of her debut. Ahead of the final recital in late November 2009, she recorded the complete set of Brahms’s Violin Sonatas—the same program—with Itamar Goran, a virtuoso pianist who is highly trusted by the world’s top violinists. The album was produced by Philip Traugott, the renowned producer behind works by Paavo Järvi and others. Recorded with not only natural talent but also the unwavering, outstanding musicality and technique honed over a 20-year career, this album stands as a true masterpiece performance of Brahms’s violin sonatas—widely acclaimed as masterpieces of Romantic music—and is well worth listening to.
