A live album from 2023 featuring Iliane Ilias, the world’s premier Brazilian jazz pianist and bossa nova singer, recorded at the SFJAZZ Center in San Francisco! Backed by top-tier musicians including Leandro Peregrino (guitar), Rafael Barata (drums), and Mark Johnson (bass), she delivers a dazzling performance of piano and vocals. She presents fresh arrangements of classic songs by Antonio Carlos Jobim, Ali Barroso, and others, originally featured on her Grammy-winning and nominated albums *Mirror, Mirror*, *Quaietude*, and *Time and Again*. Iliane Elias is a pianist and vocalist born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1960. After moving to New York in 1981 and studying at the Juilliard School, she joined the group Steps Ahead, featuring Michael Brecker. In 1984, she released *Amanda* with her former husband, Randy Brecker. She subsequently released a steady stream of solo albums, beginning with *Eliane Elias Plays Jobim* (1990) on Blue Note, gaining popularity for her sound that fused jazz and Brazilian music. Her piano album *Solos and Duets* (1995), recorded with Herbie Hancock, earned her a Grammy nomination. Other notable works include the Bill Evans tribute album *Something for You* (2007) and the Chet Baker tribute album *I Thought About You* (2013). In 2021, his collaborative album *Mirror, Mirror* with the late Chick Corea and Chucho Valdés won both a Grammy Award and a Latin Grammy Award. He released *Quaietudo* in 2022 and his latest album, *Time and Again*, in 2024.
