Description:
This is the first collaboration between veteran Kansai guitarist Yoshiharu Mihara and bassist Norihide Nakajima. The title of the album, Pine hills connection, comes from the fact that Nakajima and Osamu Sasaki, the recording and art director for this album, live close to Mihara's private studio in Matsugaoka, located in the southern part of Hyogo Prefecture. The duo of gut guitar and double bass is not a common combination in jazz, but it creates a very beautiful and unique world.
