The Bacon Brothers are the 12th and latest album by Kevin Bacon, a famous Hollywood actor, and his brother Michael, an Emmy Award-winning composer who has composed music for many movies. The Bacon Brothers call their music "Forosoco," a term coined from folk, rock, soul, and country, and they are not a band of actors chilling out, but a highly accomplished American rock band with a wide variety of musical styles. Firm musical ties by Philadelphia's Blood Brothers! The Bacon Brothers are a Philadelphia duo consisting of brothers Michael Bacon (b. 1949) and Kevin Bacon (b. 1958). Kevin is a famous Hollywood actor who has appeared in many films including "Footloose" and "A Few Good Men. Michael, the older brother, is a singer-songwriter who has released solo albums and is a composer of music for numerous films and TV dramas. He is also a faculty member of the music department at Lehman College in New York City. They have been playing music together since they were boys, and officially started working as a band after a one-night concert they gave in 1994.In 1997, they released their first album "Forosoco" (the title comes from the first letter of each music genre they play: folk, rock, soul, and country). Since then, they have consistently released 11 albums, including live performances and best-of albums, such as "White Knuckles (2005)", "36 Cents (2014)", and "ERATO (2022)". In 2006, the band made its first visit to Japan and performed live.
