A solo album by Anthony Geraci, a top blues pianist who has been a member of Ronnie Earl's and Sugar Ray Norsha's bands for many years and has won many musical awards including the Blues Music Award! From classic Chicago style piano blues to beautiful ballads, this masterpiece showcases his versatile musicality and skilled and brilliant piano technique on all original compositions! Backed by his regular band, the Boston Blues All-Stars, and featuring guest appearances by violinist Anne Harris and vocalist Sugar Ray Norsha. Anthony Geraci is a blues pianist born in New Haven, Connecticut in 1954. He attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he studied music in earnest. At the same time, he was struck by Jimmy Rogers' "Chicago Bound" and fell in love with the blues (he actually joined the band five years later). He began to play professionally, and played in many sessions, backing up many real bluesmen such as Muddy Waters and Otis Rush.Then, in the early 80's, he was a founding member of Ronnie Earl & The Broadcasters and Sugar Ray & The Bluetones for 40 years. He also performed at many festivals with his own band, Little Anthony & the Locomotives. He also participated in "Super Harp" with James Cotton and others, for which he received a Grammy nomination. He has also received Blues Music Awards for many of his other works. He has consistently released "Fifty Shades of Blue" in 2016, "Daydreams In Blue" with Dennis Brennan in 2020, and "Blues Cold My Name" in 2022.
