The famous duo is back! This is the fourth collaborative album by John Primer (guitar) and Bob Colito (harmonica), two legends who have both won numerous music awards and been inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame. The guitar and harp on this album are the best of today's Chicago blues, with Jimi Primetime Smith on second guitar and Anthony Geraci on piano, reminiscent of the Muddy Waters Band of yesteryear, and the band's iron-clad lineup includes not only Muddy, but also Magic Slim, John Lee Hooker and others. The latest recordings from 2021 to 2023. John Plimer was born in Mississippi in 1945, and joined the Muddy Wheaters Band in 1979 when he joined Willie Dixon's All Stars. He then became a member of Magic Slim & The Teardrops for 13 years. In 2016, he was nominated for a Grammy for his tribute album, "Muddy Waters 100," which featured James Cotton, Derek Trucks, and other guests. He also won a Blues Music Award.Bob Colito, born in Chicago in 1956, is a harpist. He has backed many great bluesmen, including Robert Jr. Lockwood and Jimmy Rogers, and is highly regarded for his pursuit of the blues. In recent years, he has released a number of excellent collaborative albums with Henry Gray and Big John Atkinson. Their collaborations include "Knockin' Around These Blues" in 2013, "Ain't Nothing You Can't Do! and "The Gypsy Woman Told Me" in 2020.
