The latest and possibly the last original album from the 60-year-old legendary blues boogie rock band Canned Heat! The band's current lineup of Jimmy Vivino (guitar), Dale Spaulding (harp), and Richard Reed (bass), along with Fito De La Parra (drums), who has led the band since its inception, play with a powerful and mature style that is a must-hear! The band also features guest appearances by Joe Bonamassa and Dave Alvin, two of the best guitarists who have respected the band. The band's boogie is explosive! Canned Heat was formed in 1966 in L.A. by Al Wilson (guitar, harp, vocals) and Bob Hite (harp, vocals), two so-called avid blues researchers. The band, named Canned Heat after a prewar country blues song by Tommy Johnsong, first gained attention at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967, and made their debut with "Canned Heat" that same year, quickly becoming one of the top groups in the industry. Since then, the group has performed at numerous festivals in rock history, including Woodstock.Their 1970 album with John Lee Hooker, Hooker'n Heat, is considered their best work, and they also recorded other albums with Memphis Slim and Gatemouth Brown. Three of the original members, Bob Hite, Alan Wilson, and Henry Vestein, are already deceased. Unfortunately, except for Adolfo "Fito" de la Parra on drums, none of the original members remain, but the band continues to perform in front of many fans around the world with its spirit of the blues, despite the constant member changes.
