The pinnacle of show business symbolizing the good old days in America! The Judy Garland Show", a legendary TV program hosted by Judy Garland from 1963 to 1964, featured duets with special guests including Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin (4 Emmy nominations), Barbra Streisand, Tony Bennett, and others. The show aired as a pilot in February 1962 and featured Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin (nominated for four Emmy Awards), as well as Barbra Streisand, Tony Bennett, Bobby Darin, daughter Liza Minnelli, and others. Judy Garland, born in Minnesota in 1922, became a star with hit songs such as "Over the Rainbow" when she was cast as the lead in the 1939 musical film "The Wizard of Oz. In 1945, she remarried film director Vincent Minnelli, and the following year gave birth to Liza Minnelli. In 1954, she made a comeback with the smash hit "The Birth of Starr," for which she won a Golden Globe and was nominated for an Academy Award. However, her life was still in disarray, and she made a comeback in 1961 with the film "The Nuremberg Trials". She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her strong performance.In the same year, her concert at Carnegie Hall was critically acclaimed and her album "Judy at Carnegie Hall" won a Grammy. She married five times during her life but was never happy, and died of a sleeping pill overdose in London in 1969 at the age of 47. 2019 biopic "Judy: Beyond the Rainbow" depicts her tumultuous life and became the talk of the town.
