In honor of the 100th anniversary of Chicago guitar legend Eddie Taylor's birth, his children, led by Larry Taylor, have come together to release a powerful blues album!Recorded mostly by Larry in 2015 with his family, the guitarist died in 2019. The album features three generations of musicians, including Eddie Taylor JR, Brenda, Demetria, Tim, and Larry's son, rapper Liljet2x. The band will feature Larry's originals as well as classic songs by his father Eddie Taylor, Magic Sam, JB Lenoir, and others. Larry Taylor is a drummer & singer born in 1955. Larry became Eddie's stepson at age 2 when his mother Bella, a blues singer and niece of Eddie Burns and Jimmy Burns, remarried Eddie Taylor, a famous Chicago blues guitarist who had backed Jimmy Reed and others. He grew up with bluesmen around him from an early age and eventually became a drummer.He has played and recorded with many artists including his father, Lurrie Bell, Billy Branch, his uncles Eddie and Jimmy Barnes, Albert Collins, Buddy Guy, and John Lee Hookah. His siblings Brenda, Timothy, Demetria, and Eddie Taylor JR also became musicians, and after the death of their father Eddie Taylor in 1988, they became one of Chicago's great blues families. Larry released his first album "They Were In This House" in 2004, not only as a drummer but also as a singer. Eddie Taylor JR, who followed in his father's footsteps as a guitarist, also released many albums, but died in 2019.
