Nine of the songs are vocal numbers, and Michael himself sings sweetly on nine of them. Guests include many New Orleans artists such as Cyril Neville and George Porter Jr. as well as artisan artists such as Amos Garrett, Chuck Leavell, and Randy Bachman, and the songs range from his signature boogie-woogie and stride piano to beautiful ballads.
