His swampy, bluesy guitar playing and the quality of the songs are well-deserved. Backed by Chad Cromwell (Neil Young, etc.) on drums, Kevin Grant (Garth Brooks, etc.) on bass, and Rob Clowers (Black Crowes, etc.) on keyboards, the band delivers a great roots sound.
