Description:
Oscar-winning actress Julianne Moore, who fell in love with Susanne Bier's Danish film "After Wedding," which was nominated for an Academy Award R Best Foreign Language Film in 2006, and her husband, director Bart Freundlich, made this Hollywood remake. The original version featured two men as the main characters, but the Hollywood version changed it to two women. It stars Julianne Moore and Michelle Williams, a four-time Academy Award R nominee for her work in "Manchester by the Sea" and other films. The film delicately and emotionally depicts two people with completely different worlds and ways of thinking, who are torn between love and conflict as the birth parents and the foster parents. The music is composed by Michael Dana, who won the Academy Award for Best R-Composition for "Life of Pi: 227 Days Adrift with a Tiger. The exotic melodies and meditative minimalistic music express the emotional turmoil of the characters. In addition to Dana's score, this release also includes three songs inserted into the play.
