John Carpenter's "Object X from Planet Earth," an immortal masterpiece of science fiction horror that has shone brilliantly in the history of cinema, boasts a feverish popularity and has had a tremendous impact on the entire world. It is still fresh in our memories that the film was digitally remastered and released in theaters last year for the first time in 36 years. The film is a remake of "Object X from Planet Earth," produced by master filmmaker Howard Hawks and based on the science fiction thriller novel "The Shadow Goes On" by John W. Campbell, Jr. Director Carpenter, who had co-written the music for five films himself with Alan Haworth, asked Ennio Morricone, a master of Italian film music, to compose the music for his first major studio production, which was the first time Carpenter himself was entrusted with a major studio production. Due to scheduling conflicts at the time, Morricone composed the music based on only a few scenes from the film that had not yet been completed, so more than half of the songs were not used in the film and were replaced with new electronic compositions created by Carpenter and Alan Haworth, but Morricone's imaginative music has since become a cult favorite. However, Morricone's imaginative compositions have since developed a cult following.This soundtrack, an "opera of horror" constructed by Morricone himself and compiled into 10 songs, was released by MCA at the time, and has been fully restored and remastered from first-generation masters stored at Universal Music, respecting this structure. 16-page luxury Includes a 16-page booklet.
