(Shikka Daimyo!), the director Hayato Kawai of "Kaguya-sama ga Kesshirasai ~Kaguya-sama wa Sesshirasai ~Tensai-tachi no Koi-Kanrenshi~" series and others, adapted the novel of the same title by Akihiro Tsuchihashi, the author of such hit comedy period dramas as "Chokkosoku! The film stars Muro Tsuyoshi as the lead character, along with Eita Nagayama, Haruna Kawaguchi, and other members of the splendid cast, and is a painful period drama entertainment! Kira Uenosuke, the hated lord, is slain in Edo Castle and sent to the other side! The lord of the Ako clan, who cut him down, naturally commits seppuku (ritual suicide). However, the Kira family, which has lost their lord, is also in danger of extinction due to a plot by the Tokugawa Shogunate! In order to get the family out of such a great crisis, his younger brother, Kosho, a monk who looks exactly like Uenosuke, takes on an unprecedented "substitution mission" to deceive the Shogunate. The music is composed by Shogo Kaida, winner of the Japan Academy Prize for Best Music for "Kita no Sakura Mamoru". The music will be a variety of music from comical songs with plenty of percussion and wind instruments to serious, mystical, and even danceable songs that will enliven the storyline.
