Description:
The 8th release of the highly acclaimed series "Günter Wandt: Immortal Masterpieces", the final chapter of the North German Radio Symphony Orchestra! The "perfection" that Vant sought is now available in the best sound quality ever! The "Vant Immortal Masterpieces", which should be savored one by one, are now available as SACD hybrids! The CD and SACD layers have never sounded more realistic. The eye-opening performance of Wanto's masterpiece is now back with even greater intensity! This final installment of the North German Radio Symphony Orchestra's "Mozart Concertos," combines Mozart's works with piano concertos by Schumann, Stravinsky, and Haydn. In DISC 1, you will hear a masterful performance that crystallizes the essence of Vant's Mozart playing. The romantic outpouring of emotion and Bachian counterpoint are combined at a high level, and the heated yet logical Mozart No. 40 shivers with the driving force of its tense chromatic scale. The two serenades, Vant's favorite serenades, are also a rare and grand performance of music for pleasure with a magnificent breadth and depth of spirit. DISC 2 is a collaboration with the renowned pianists Opitz and Magaloff. Both are magnificent and mature performances with a lot of meaning. In the Schumann and Haydn pieces, the joy of the piano is enveloped by the deep resonance of the orchestra, and it warmly seeps into the heart. The Haydn in particular is one of the most beautiful and exquisite pieces on the program. The sharp, clear, and powerful progression of Stravinsky's mechanical neo-baroque bursts are also unique to Vant. The concerto collection, which combines pleasure and elegance, is a world in which Vant's musical stance is perfectly realized. When we hear that an orchestra strives for perfection, we tend to think of its playing as cold or mediocre. When we say that an orchestra strives for "perfection," we tend to think that its playing is "cold" or "mediocre," or when we say that it is "passionate" or "warm," we immediately think that its playing is inaccurate and sloppy. Perfection and passionate power must be combined. -Günter Wandt, King International
