"Tōnyu-san," the lethal weapon of the local mascot world born in Akihabara. Although an official character of the Japan Soy Milk Association, he talks a lot, has completed a full marathon, and causes a huge stir at events across the country with his outrageous antics. Having continually defied the stereotypes of such “yuru-chara,” “Tounyu-san” made an unexpected artistic debut with her previous single, “Stand Up for MIRAI,” following two years of voice training. However, that was not the finish line—it was just the beginning. The second release, “Overturn,” is a passionate rock number that races through with a fast-paced band sound and dramatic developments. “Resist a fate that’s crumbling away.” “Overturn a future that’s falling apart.” Transforming past memories, unfulfilled promises, and even the pain they carry into strength, they carve out their own future with their own hands. This song depicts that strong will in “Tōnyu-san’s” own words. At first glance, they seem comical and utterly free-spirited. Yet when it comes to music, they are utterly serious. Don’t underestimate them just because they’re a “yuru-chara” (cute mascot character). “Tōnyu-san,” who continues to overturn conventional wisdom, uses their voice to overturn even destiny itself.
