Reggae cover of the popular song by Daryl Hall & John Oates and All-4-One is a 7" cut! avex REGGAE SYSTEM" is a series of brilliant reggae covers of classic AOR and pop songs that were in heavy rotation on dance floors and FM radio from the late 70s to the early 90s. This is the second 7-inch single cut project from the sound source! On the A-side, "I Can't Go For That," Shango sings in a reggae manner in falsetto on the medium groove classic released by Daryl Hall & John Oates in 1981. The original bassline, which hits you right in the hip, is updated with a beat reminiscent of 90s UK ground beats. The original song was a rock artist that topped the R&B charts in the U.S. and has inspired countless songs, including Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" and De La Soul's "Say No Go".The B-side is particularly famous for the 1994 version by the a cappella unit All-4-One, but the original song was written by the doo-wop group The Tymes in 1963. In Japan, Tatsuro Yamashita covered the classic in 2001 and used it in a beer commercial, with a shuffling beat that has a 90s R&B flavor.
