The first album by the resonating string trio "SonaSonoS", formed by Yuriko Mukojima (viola d'amore), Sho Hada (viola d'amore), and Emi Sakai (Hardingförre), who have been active as string instrumentalists in different genres for many years, is now available. The trio has been pursuing the rich sound and possibilities of resonant string instruments with the combination of the "voora d'amore," an ancient instrument that was active mainly during the Baroque period, and the "Hardingfelle," a traditional Norwegian instrument, a combination that is extremely rare even in the world. For example, the sound in the third track "Raindrops," which sounds as if an effector has been applied, is in fact a live sound, which is only possible with resonant strings. The eleventh track, "Raindrops," is also recorded at home without any effectors, but you can hear the reverb effect of the resonant strings. In addition to the original compositions, this album contains a total of 11 songs, each with its own arrangement of regional folk music. (C)RS
