Description:

Treasure Ark, a series of high-quality live recordings, has recorded the final show at Nippon Budokan from the "FLASH TOUR" held only in Japan in 1986. Rare live performance with vocals! After the unique and danceable album "FLASH" (1985) with vocals, "FLASH TOUR 1986" was followed by a 7-show mini-tour in Japan, and the final show at Nippon Budokan on June 11 was recorded! The first day of the tour, June 1, held at a special venue in Karuizawa Prince Hotel, was a super-luxurious show with Santana and Steve Lukather, which was famous for being broadcast on TV. From here, the tour went on to Osaka, Fukuoka, and Nagoya, and this was the second of two days at the Nippon Budokan, the final date of the tour. The album tends to be avoided by dedicated fans, perhaps because of its dated sound, but in fact, this is the sound that is trending around the world today. The live show was performed by the main members of the album production, Jimmy Hall (vo, sax) and Doug Wimbish (b), along with Jan Hammer (key) and Simon Phillips (ds).Since Beck had been playing instrumental music since he went solo, it was rare for him to perform live with vocals, and the only other time he performed with the same members was in LA on April 19 of the same year, outside of Japan. The setlist consisted mainly of songs from "FLASH" and songs from his solo career. Unique among them would be two songs from the very popular drama "Miami Vice," for which Jan Hammer was in charge of music. However, they are not at all incongruous, perhaps because of Beck's omnivorous nature. He also played a Troggs cover of "Wild Thing," which had not yet been released as a single. Jimmy Hall's (ex-Wet Willie) tough vocals are also better than expected. Beck's guitar is also strong, making this a must have for fans.
