Description:
Treasure Ark, a series of high-quality live recordings! This is the third show from Queen's second visit to Japan in 1976, and it is recorded in full! From "A Night at the Opera Tour", Queen's second visit to Japan, the March 24, 1976 performance at Himeji Municipal Kosei Kaikan is recorded in full! The previous year, Queen made their first visit to Japan as part of the "Sheer Heart Attack Tour" and were thrilled by the hospitality and enthusiasm of the Japanese fans. This second visit to Japan was an even bigger success than the previous one, with 11 shows (including two shows a day) up from the previous seven, and an additional show on April 4 at the Ryogoku Nichidai Auditorium (former Kokugikan). After one day, two performances in Fukuoka on the 26th, and two more in Osaka on the 29th. The tour started with the first show at Nippon Budokan on March 22, followed by Nagoya on March 23, Himeji on March 24, two shows in Fukuoka on March 26, two shows in Osaka on March 29, and then back to Tokyo for the second shows at Nippon Budokan on March 31 and April 1, Sendai on April 2, and an additional show at Nihon Daigaku Auditorium in Ryogoku on April 4.They started to get back on track around the Osaka show, and by the time they returned to Tokyo, they were in great shape, and their second Budokan performance at that time is very famous among fans. With such advance information, you may be wondering how the third show of the tour, in Himeji, went. As a result, it is clear that Freddie is protecting his throat by singing in the lower melody, perhaps not being able to stretch out the high notes. However, when viewed as a performance, there was no roughness at all, and the performance was very stable. In fact, it seems like a rare version where she sings a different melody than usual. The stability of the performance is not bad either. The setlist is standard for this tour, but the song selections, which are unique to the era when the band was only in the third year of their debut and their fourth album, are fascinating in their own right. Maniacs should check it out.
