The album was recorded on April 27, 1996, the first day of the 2-day tour at Maine Road, the last leg of the world tour with the classic second album "(What's the Story) Morning Glory? Maine Road is the base stadium of the Manchester City soccer club, and it was the first stadium show for Oasis. The performance on the 28th was included in the film "...There and Then" (1996).(What's the Story) Morning Glory?" exploded in sales upon its release, but was not well received upon its initial release because it was less orderly than their first album, "Definitely Maybe" (1994).
