This is a bargain package of three live broadcast recordings from 1969, when Led Zeppelin started their full-fledged activities and rapidly gained popularity! Treasure Ark, a series that selects high-quality live recordings! In October 1968, Led Zeppelin changed their name from New Yardbirds to Led Zeppelin, released their debut album "Led Zeppelin" in January 1969, and started their activities in earnest. The band played more than 150 shows over the course of seven tours and quickly rose to the top with the release of their second album, "Led Zeppelin II," which reached number one in the U.K. and the U.S. in October. Included here are three shows from different tours: Disc 1 is from the Texas International Pop Festival on August 31, Disc 2 is from the San Francisco Fillmore West on January 11, and Disc 3 is from the London Playhouse Theater on June 27. Soundtracks.Although many of the pieces performed on these recordings share the same year and repertoire, they are highly improvisational, and the detailed recognition of when and where versions were performed has led to the development of a need for all of them. Although there are only a small number of songs on the recordings, many of them are long performances, probably due to the nature of the period, and because they were recorded for radio broadcast, they are each 40 minutes to one hour in length. Zeppelin during this period had a strong aspect of being a heavy blues band (the announcer used the term "heavy rock"), and their style was to play slow blues with various ideas and improvisations in long performances. The direction of their sound would rapidly expand in the following years, but they would once again confirm that their roots were here.
