The label 4AD, which includes two shows from the year after the band's debut, one before and one after the band members changed, has a large and fixed fan base. Bauhaus in its early years, and Pixies and Throwing Muses in its heyday, but it was label owner Ivo Watts Russell's unit, Dis Mortal Coil and the Cocteau Twins, that created the label's image. I wonder if the Cocteau Twins were not the label owner Ivo Watts Russell's unit. The Cocteau Twins, featuring guitarist Robin Guthrie and vocalist Elizabeth Fraser, formed in 1979 and debuted in 1982. Their sound, which combines gothic and post-punk directions with ambient echoes, is the origin of shoegaze, and is being increasingly reevaluated. This CD contains two shows from 1983, the year after their debut. The first half is a show at the Hammersmith Odeon in London on April 19, 19 and 20, which was probably an opening act appearance for OMD.In addition to Guthrie and Fraser, members include founding member Will Heggie (b). The band plays songs from their EP "Peppermint Pig," which was released just two weeks ago, among others. The second half of the show took place at the Museum of Contemporary Art in London on October 8.
