(Original release: 1971/Byg Records)After working with John Mayall's Blues Breakers, Ainsley Dunbar led his own band, Retaliation, and recorded four albums. Just before he moved to the U.S. to join Frank Zappa's new Mothers, he formed a new band, Blue Whale, with Paul Williams (vo/Zoot Manny - Juicy Lucy), Tommy Air (key/Marc Almond), and other strong members, and this is the only album by the band. This exciting jazz-rock album with horns, which also shows the influence of Zappa's sound at that time, is one that needs to be reevaluated now more than ever. Included Frank Zappa's "Willie the Pimp".
