Description:

This is the first album (1978/RCA) by a mysterious singer (real name Tim Phillips) who suddenly appeared in the UK modern pop scene in the 70's under the name of TIM P , with a very attractive cover designed by Hypnosis. The cover of the album, which looks like a girl's rock band, was made by Hypnosis. The album is a new wave style 50's rock'n'roll revival, and its slightly inflected sensibility strikes niche pop listeners. The nostalgic and stylish sensibility of "Night & Day" (written by Cole Porter) is connected to Sailor and the like. This is a hidden masterpiece of modern pop, including the original, with a glittering, elepop-style sound production. Produced by Tony Cox (Fender Piano) and recorded at Cox's own Sawmills Studio in Cornwall. Engineered by Jerry Boys, who also works with Cox at Sound Techniques (London).Backing them are Al Hodge (lead guitar) and Alan Eden (ex-Mr. Fox/drums), who also released a single on Bronze as members of The Mechanics, which evolved from the studio's house band.
