A masterpiece produced by Chris Rainbow, featuring some of the most prominent figures in the UK rock/progressive rock scene! Long-awaited CD release of Lenny MacDonald's first album (original release: 1982). Born in London, England, this singer/songwriter with blues roots began performing in the live scene around Sussex in the late 60's. In 1970, she reportedly teamed up with Dave Lewis (Andwella) and recorded a few demo songs. He then signed with Arista and recorded this disc as his first album in 1974. Produced by Chris Rainbow. In addition to familiar names such as Mike Giles (drums) and Mel Collins (saxophone), the album also features Jerry Hogan (steel guitar/Oily Rags), Gordon Huntley (steel guitar/Matthews Southern Comfort), Ray Jackson (harmonica/Lindisfarne), and Darrell Darrell. Lindisfarne), Darrell Runswick (bass), Wilf Gibson (violin), Alan Turney (bass), and the best British studio musicians of the time. Recorded at Island Studios in London. Bonus track [10] is a single not included on the 1974 album (B-side is [1]).The lineup is also strong, with Tony Ashton (ex-Remo Four, Ashton Gardner Dyke, and Family) on keyboards, Nick Potter (Van Der Graaf Generator) on bass, Reg Isadore (Robin Trower Band) on drums, and backing vocals by Claire Torry ( (a female singer featured on the song "Empty Scat" from Pink Floyd's "Madness"), another strong lineup.
