This is the second album (released in 1977) by Michael Deacon from central Nebraska, USA. Like the first, this is a masterpiece of a pre-AOR/SSW album with a sophisticated acoustic sound and clear, bittersweet vocals that make you want to cite Art Garfunkel and Kenny Rankin. The glossy piano and string ensemble is also enchantingly wonderful. The album features studio owner Herb Pilhofer on piano, Ron Steele on guitar, Willard O. Peterson (=Bill Peterson/bass), Bill Berg on percussion, Bill Barber on piano, and others who also participated in the previous album. (bass), Bill Berg (percussion), and Bill Barber (piano), all of whom had also participated in the previous album, it seems that the SOUND80 recordings were the main ones.Working together in a Minneapolis jazz-rock band, Berg and Peterson were the most trusted Minneapolis rhythm section of the time, and were now regulars on Bob Dylan's "Blood Ruts" (75) and Ronnie Knight's "Song For A City Mouse" (75/Blackhawk 99 selections) and other SOUND80 productions were now regulars. There are three bonus tracks. Like the first, they fit in well here without compromising the flow from the main album.
